Job description

At Attendi, we believe in care with attention. A place where healthcare professionals and clients truly have the time to get to know each other. Because good care starts with a good relationship.

Technology can play a crucial role in this when it’s empathetic, supportive, and smart. We develop AI solutions that give healthcare professionals their time back: less screen, more human.

With Attendi, healthcare professionals report by simply speaking. They report by voice in the Electronic Client File, and they can also use the Attendi App to record conversations and have them automatically converted into reports. Ten thousand healthcare professionals use our technology every day, resulting in hundreds of thousands of reports and more time for clients.

The Role: Android Engineer (Mobile Engineer)
As a Mobile Engineer, you will play a central role in bringing our vision to life by developing Attendi’s first native mobile app — a greenfield project designed to bring the power of speech-to-text directly into the daily workflows of caregivers.

Healthcare professionals prefer to stay close to their patients, not behind a laptop. With mobile usage growing rapidly in care settings, a native app is essential. That’s why we’re putting Attendi’s voice-powered functionalities straight into their pocket.

We envision this app as the healthcare sector’s voice-enabled notepad: a flexible, intuitive tool for capturing and structuring medical data quickly and accurately — whether at the bedside, in the hallway, or between visits. But it's more than just a notepad: our advanced speech-to-text and machine learning capabilities will be deeply integrated to support smarter, faster documentation at the point of care.

A thoughtful mobile strategy, seamless UX, and high-performance native implementation will be key to realizing this vision.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the development of Attendi’s first native Android app (and potentially expand to other platforms in the future)

  • Collaborate with our backend and machine learning teams to integrate APIs and intelligent features

  • Work with UX designers and frontend engineers to ensure a cohesive user experience across platforms

  • Implement best practices in mobile app architecture, performance, testing, and accessibility

  • Design for mobile-first interactions, including robust offline capabilities

  • Shape our distribution and update strategy via the Google Play ecosystem, including collecting and responding to user feedback

  • Contribute to relevant open-source initiatives where applicable

Job requirements

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience developing mobile applications, with a strong focus on Android and Kotlin

  • Experience building production grade apps that integrate with RESTful APIs and real-time services

  • Passionate about creating delightful, intuitive mobile experiences

  • You take pride in building robust, scalable, and maintainable software

  • You have experience with the Android app lifecycle, mobile architecture patterns and testing strategies

  • You are pragmatic, autonomous and product focused

  • You are excited about greenfield development and solving real-world user problems

Strong candidates may also have:

  • Have experience with iOS development using Swift

  • Understand the unique constraints of healthcare environments, like security, offline use, and UX-friendly apps

  • Familiarity with backend technologies like Django/Python (not required, but helpful for integration and collaboration)

  • Enjoy working in fast paced, dynamic environments

  • Appreciate well-documented, clean code and thoughtful UX

What we offer:

  • Salary between €6000,- and €8500,- (based on experience)

  • Mobility allowance, lunch allowance, and remote work budget

  • Annual training budget of €1,500

  • Company MacBook

  • 50% remote work flexibility

  • ClassPass sports membership

  • Regular team drinks, outings, and annual ski trips

Our culture: People-oriented, curious, and proactive
At Attendi, you’ll work in a small, ambitious team that learns and builds together. We are empathetic, take initiative, dare to experiment, and stand by our work. Mistakes are part of the process — what matters is learning from them.

Application Process

  • Initial phone call

  • First interview with a team member

  • Case study + lunch to get to know each other better

  • Final interview with one of the founders
